ReadMe Welcome to VP
First thing which is special about our board is that we have two language profiles: English and German. For better understanding.
NOTE: But our forum language HAS TO be ENGLISH! So you are NOT ALLOWED to make german or posts containing an other language.

Second thing is that we have more than one url: So you are able to join our community here:
VP - Webmaster Forum 1. url / VP - Webmaster Forum 2. url and VP - Webmaster Forum 3. url

Our hosting is @ http://admin08.kilu.de/ - where you also can show exactly threads, but there are bad advertisers.
http://webmaster-forum.co.nr/ works also when you are using the internet explorer, this is showing the exactly post and thread aswell.
So it is up to you...

NOTE:
But this is our USED url: http://webmaster-forum.co.nr/ - so every post and thread will be started and done here.
For showing threads/ links use VP - Webmaster Forum 2. url because it is showing the exactly post in the url.

Register So please register here

If you have already registered you can go on reading:

Once you've registered, check out your User Control Panel - short user cp.
If anybody has liked what you said and given you Reputation Points, you'll be able to see who gave you those points and what they said about you there.

You'll also find a link to edit your profile.

Your User CP Another thing you'll want to do in your User Control Panel is edit your avatar.
We've recently added several fields for you to fill out so you can tell the community what kind of person you are.

After you have signed up can also right away set up your signature in the User CP - which is also special because on other forums
you have to make a special post count or must be registered for a special time to set it up. But @ VP you can have signature links right away!
Just remember that we do not allow affiliate links in the signature file, and no more than four links.
You can add up to 4 links, have 4 smiley dudes and can pick whatever sweet colours you like.

- This is great because you get lots of backlinks to your site (especially when you get 1000's of posts!) -

Quick NOTE:
-> You HAVE TO make your FIRST post in the NEW MEMBER INTRODUCTION SECTION! Here you HAVE TO make your FIRST post!
If you were reffered by an existing member of the VP-Forums, tell us his name in the intro thread (first post), to provide him a special rank.

Please read the general FAQ's and the following rules.

Basic Rules
Additional Basic Rules

# Start new threads in the most relevant forum category.

# Don't create posts with nothing but a link. If you are going to link to a news article for example, give a summary of it.

# Unless it's earth shattering news, don't post press releases.

# It's okay to promote your own things, but wait until you have contributed something useful (posts-wise) to the forum.

# Don't create threads about random news. Anything more than one thread per day that is from a news source will be deleted.

# Personal attacks against people, or sites will not be tolerated. If you have an issue with someone or their site, take it up with them personally.

# Don't "bump" threads and don't post duplicate threads.

# Don't spam the forum with things like:

* Affiliate links (they are allowed in signatures though)

* Nothing but a link to your own site (you can request a site review within the Website Reviews forum).

# The staff here had the final say on what is appropriate and what is not.

=> Just be nice and don't spam!

Infractions
There is an old saying, "don't fix what isn't broken". Infractions have been covered so well by ViciousSummer it was best to put it in here.

An infraction is a simple warning that you have done something wrong. It's not the end of the world, so don't take it personally.
There is no real consequence to receiving an infraction, unless you are a spammer or you frequently and blatently break the rules.
If you manage to rack up 10 infraction points, you will be banned temporarily.

Here is a list of what you can receive an infraction for and a brief explanation of why:

- Duplicate thread - If you create a thread about a subject that is already being discussed in another thread, you may receive an infraction.

- Affiliate links - Affiliate links are allowed in signatures, but they are not allowed in posts.

- Thread hijacking - Off topic posts or trying to promote your own item/service in a thread started by someone else are both examples of thread hijacking.

- Running up post count/post has no value - Posts such as "pm sent", "lol" or any other useless post that does not contribute to the forum
or the thread is considered a post that has no value. Posting numerous "welcome to the forum" posts in the Introductions forum is also
considered post padding or running up your post count. Posting an opinion in a sales thread such as "great price, good luck with the sale"
but not actually bidding or participating is not allowed.

- Inappropriate post/thread - Although we are quite liberal, certain threads and posts are simply inappropriate.
Examples of inappropriate posts would be porn and blatant vulgarity.

- Thread started in wrong catagory - If you start a thread in the wrong forum because you do not have enough posts to start a thread in the
correct forum (special section for example - VP-Mentors ONLY), you will receive an infraction. If you start a thread in the wrong catagory,
but it appears that you at least attempted to put it in the right forum, you generally will not receive an infraction.

- Bumping thread - Bumping is when you reply to your own thread with the sole purpose of bumping it to the top of the forum.
Also, a worthless reply to old threads can also be considered bumping.

- Inappropriate language - Cursing is not forbidden in this forum, but we expect it to be used minimally.

- Attacking/harassing other members - You are allowed to disagree with the opinions of other members but you are not allowed to
attack the person or their circumstances.

- Spamming - If all or the majority of your posts are promoting or linking to your website or product. You will receive an infraction for spamming.

- Duplicate account - If you create more then one account at Virtual Place Forums, you will receive an infraction and will be banned.

ADDITIONAL INFO: What is a post?

What you are reading right now is a post. Posts are contained inside threads.
Threads are a basically a particular topic (for example, this thread contains information for new members) and people post information and thoughts in threads.

Internet Forum | Forum Spam | Forum Bump

Forum Thread | Sticky post | Blog

-> Forum Colors: I recognsied a lot of forums have their own colors.
For example, v7n has green, red, white, DP has black, green, white, and the VP has blue, black and white.
We are a mixture of the big ones on the net, so we should be the best. If you want to give us feedback, need help or what ever contact us @ the vp forum support section.

Thanks!
